Abstract
The Combined Seven Cities in West Java (Bandung, Tasikmalaya, Cirebon, Bekasi, Bogor, Sukabumi and Banjar) experienced inflation of 1.37 percent in January 2008, thus year-on-year inflation for the last twelve months was 5.95 percent. The seven expenditure groups simultaneously experienced inflation, the highest occurred in the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group 2.38 percent, the foodstuffs group 1.67 percent, the clothing group 1.24 percent, the processed food group, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco 1.12 percent, the health group 0.76 percent, the education, recreation & sports group 0.70 percent and the transportation, communication & financial services group 0.12 percent.
